Susie Beale

Susie Beale - UK - Eventing

Cairn O’Mount Stables is located in beautiful Chester County in one of the few remaining rural pockets in the Radnor Hunt area. It is situated on 36 acres of beautiful countryside, which is fenced for pasture, Featuring an outdoor riding arena, and newly constructed Cross Country elements from novice to advanced.

The business is owned and operated by International Event Rider Susie Beale. Susie has ridden all her life, the daughter of British Event Team members Gillian Beale and Major Jeremy Beale. Susie was a member of the Angus Pony Club in Scotland, where she was born and raised, moving to the United States in 1985 to train extensively with her father and further her riding career. She is a Graduate of the Pen-Y-Bryn Equestrian Center, in Chester Springs Pennsylvania. Where she obtained her ‘I’ with highest honors.

In 1987 Susie returned to the United Kingdom to become a British Horse Society accredited Instructor. After obtaining her BHSPT she returned to the United States to start her own business.

Susie is on the Board of the Radnor Hunt Pony Club and is the Organizer of the annual Radnor Hunt Pony Club Horse Trials. A United States Eventing Association Recognized Horse Trial; this event is the single largest fundraiser for the club, and allows Radnor Hunt Pony Club to continue the tradition of teaching children the tradition of good horsemanship and sportsmanship.

Susie herself has competed successfully through the Advanced Level in Combined Training. In 2002 was an award Winner at the Radnor Hunt International Three Day Event, and has enjoyed many wins and successes throughout her career.

Her students compete extensively throughout the year, with successes from the Elementary Level to Intermediate. In 2002 she trained the Leading Junior Training Rider in the United States and the Leading Training Horse. Others have won many ribbons and qualified to compete at Area, National and International competitions.

Every year the competition horses travel extensively. The season starts in February when a number of horses and riders travel to Aiken, South Carolina, to ride and train for 6 weeks. From there they travel as far as Florida to compete.

In the early and mid summer the competitions are as far north as Canada. In addition there are trips to Massachusetts and New York State.

Susie teaches all ages and welcomes students at all levels.
